I was recently married at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish (April 18th, 2009) and my wife, Wenqi, and I decided to go to Italy for our honeymoon. When we told Fr. Jim this he suggested that we might be able to get an audience with the Pope being a newly married couple. Well, that is all I had to hear and I started to investigate if this were in fact plausible. It turns out that it is in fact plausible and any newly married couple in the Church can attend a Wednesday audience with the Pope and have a chance to kiss his ring afterwards!
